A new data privacy law, the General Data Protection Regulation, came into effect on 25th May 2018. This means the requirements relating to the personal data we hold about you  changed.

Julia Louise Pilates is committed to respecting your privacy. This notice is to explain how Julia Louise Pilates may use personal information it collects about you, before, during and after your signing up with us. This notice applies to you if you have signed up with Julia Louise Pilates via the Registration form and Health questionnaire and explains how we comply with the law on data protection and your rights under the regulation.

 

Julia Louise Pilates has overall responsibility for data protection compliance and her contact details are set out in the "Contacting us" section at the end of this Privacy Notice.

 

1) Lawful Basis

 

In order to process data Julia Louise Pilates needs to comply with one of the lawful bases set out in the Regulation.

The processing of data by Julia Louise Pilates is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by Julia Louise Pilates – ie the need to retain records of clients in order to administer and manage Julia Louise Pilates and providing you with information in relation to the running of Julia Louise Pilates.

 

2) Personal Information

 

Personal Information we may collect from you includes:-

➢ personal contact details that allows us to contact you directly such as name, email addresses and telephone numbers

➢ details of family members, coaches and emergency contacts

➢ medical information

 

3) Holding information on Children

 

We do not hold any personal details on Children without parental consent and we will only communicate with the parent.

 

4) Collection, Use and Retention of Personal Data

 

We typically collect personal information about our members when you sign up to attend sessions at Julia Louise Pilates.

The information is used to enable us to administer your attendance at Julia Louise Pilates

We hold data in connection with Pilates sessions eg emergency contact and next of kin.

We also hold data in order to comply with Health and Safety requirements eg we collect medical information about clients who might suffer from asthma, allergies, health problems, or have long standing injuries.

Data is only retained whilst you attend Julia Louise Pilates. It is deleted once you leave.

 

5) Disclosure of your Personal Information

 

We do not share any of your personal information with any other third parties.

 

6) Your Rights in relation to your Personal Information

 

You have the following rights in relation to your personal information:

the right to restrict processing of your personal information where certain requirements are met;

the right to access the personal information we hold about you;

the right to request the correction of inaccurate personal information we hold about you;

the right to request the erasure of your personal information in certain limited circumstances;

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time, in which case it will be reissued.
